Air
New Orleans is serviced by the Louis Armstrong International Airport. Check the website for information about the airport, airport shuttles to the hotel, ground transportation, car rentals and more!
Rail
Depending on where you are coming from this could be the most economical and convenient choice for you. Amtrak trains service Union Station, located at 1001 Loyola Avenue. The Sunset Limited runs the southern border of the U.S. from Los Angeles, CA to Orlando, FL; the City of New Orleans basically runs along the Mississippi from Chicago, IL to (you guessed it) New Orleans; and the Crescent serves the eastern U.S., running from New York, through Washington D.C., Atlanta and into New Orleans. We recommend taking a taxi from Union Station, as you'll likely have more luggage than is comfortable to drag on public transportation for an event like ABW!
Ground
You could drive to ABW. Getting around the city is fairly easy, but parking can be a nightmare in the French Quarter. There is discounted parking at the host hotel for guests. Most bars, restaurants and Gay life is within a short streetcar or taxi ride, or even walking distance of the hotel. When we do have events at other venues we will hope to provide transportation to those.
You can visit a multitude of car rental businesses, so we won't list them here. You might want to use an online mapping service or stop into your local AAA for driving times and directions for your trip to ABW. Of course, the benefit of a road trip is that is really fun and you can bring more leather!
