ABW will be held in New Orleans famed French Quarter. Check out our new host hotel, the Omni Royal Orleans. Come back to the Bayou!

Be sure to get your ad in our ABW 2008 Program book.

ABW 2009 is carrying on a tradition of raising funds to benefit Leather and LGBT organizations, advocates and charities based in the cities that host the American Brotherhood Weekend.  It is our way of saying thanks to the people of our host community.  In 2008 we were proud to say, "Thank you," to the people of New Orleans by raising over $4,500 for NO/AIDS Task Force (our primary beneficiary)The Leather Archives & Museum, located in Chicago.

The event is newly reorganized, and we expect a large crowd this year.

  • The weekend officially begins Friday night with an 8:00pm Meet & Greet Reception at our host hotel.  Before that we'll have bootblacks plying their trade for charity beginning at 2:00pm.
  • Saturday is the ABW brunch followed by the first half of the American Leather Family contests.  Cap the night off with a Block Party at the Phoenix Bar at 10:00pm.
  • Sunday is the second half of the American Leather Family contests and the naming of our new Gay Leather Family.
  • Check out the schedule for a complete listing of events and times.

Our sponsorship program is a wild success every year. Already we must recognize the Dallas Eagle for being the first to step up and generously support ABW 2008!  THANK YOU!
Joining the Dallas Eagle are the The Lloyd E. Russell Foundation, The Knights of Leather of Minnesota, The Leather Rack in Washington, DC, and Leather Central in Pittsburgh.

There are many sponsorship opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $250 for individuals, clubs and organizations to show support for ABW 2008. These opportunities are limited, so don't miss out!

Getting to ABW should be a smooth trip no matter how you decide to travel. We are accessible by air, rail and ground.
